Measure the length of cable needed to reach from the inside wall of the exterior receptacle to the modem. |

Mounting the Exterior Outlet - Decide where you want to mount the exterior outlet box. This should be as close as conveniently possible to the location where you will be mounting your modem. | ||

LAN Connection - The satellite modem is connected to your computer via the 6-foot LAN cable (CAT5) included, so keep this distance in mind. (See modem dimensions below.) | ||

Visibility - You must be able to see the blue lights on the front of the modem while you are setting up the system at each new location. The lights are also a quick reference as to the status of the service while in operation. | ||
